Hey

Before we dive into this week’s updates, I'm excited to share a couple of things:

First, keep a close eye on your inbox this Monday, because I’ve got something very exciting and fun dropping into your inbox, as well as on my Instagram. If you're not following along, head over to Instagram and hit follow.

Also, I’m officially on YouTube now! I usually squeeze everything into a podcast episode. If you prefer to learn by watching (or just want another way to hang out), head over and hit subscribe.

Now let’s get into this week’s edition, packed with juicy platform news, a mindset shift that could change how you handle discovery calls forever, and a community space that’s honestly one of my favourite places online...

BUSINESS TIPs

Discovery Calls Are NOT Interviews

If discovery calls still make you feel like you might pass out, you’re not alone. I’ve had full-body panic, toilet marathons, and notes bluetacked behind my laptop… and still somehow landed the client.

But here’s what I learned the hard way:
You’re not there to prove yourself.
You’re there to explore if it’s a fit for both of you.

The shift happened for me when I stopped thinking of sales calls as “selling” and started seeing them as two business owners having a conversation. That’s it.

Want to show up more confidently? Try this:
– Review their info an hour before, not three days in advance
– Know your offer and your price like the back of your hand
– Lead the call (don’t let the client take over)
– Keep a simple structure: connect → listen → reflect → pitch → next steps

And remember: rejection isn’t failure.
It’s data. Use it to refine your positioning, clarity, or offer, not to spiral out of control.

For the full story (including the time I almost crumbled on Zoom), listen to Episode 10: Getting Over the Fear of Selling Yourself

The Klub is for service providers who are tired of doing business alone and ready to find a real group of business friends to support, learn from, and build with.

It’s not a passive Facebook group or a course you’ll forget about in a week; it’s an active, low-pressure WhatsApp space where we voice note, check in, swap advice, and talk about what’s going on behind the scenes.
